Three more libraries are hosting special Beach Bonkers events this month.

Aldeburgh, Bungay and Leiston Libraries are hosting activities where Kate Osborne of Beach Bonkers will be bringing the beach to the library for children and families to explore.

Beach Bonkers aims to promote beachcombing and the wonders of the Suffolk coast.  All three events will involve the libraries hosting a mini shingle beach, handling amazing artefacts including a mammoth’s tooth and playing a giant beachcombing board game.

The events are taking place as follows:

  • Bungay Library – Tuesday 29 May from 10am to 12noon. There are four 30-minute sessions available. Tickets are £1 each and people should contact the library in advance to book.

  • Aldeburgh Library - Tuesday 29 May from 2.30pm to 4.30pm. This event is being funded by a grant from the Suffolk Secrets AONB Fund.
  • Leiston Library – Saturday 26 May from 10am to 12noon. This event is being funded by a grant from the Galloper Wind Farm Fund.

Both the Aldeburgh and Leiston sessions are free and there is no need to book for these - families are welcome to drop in and take part.
