Halloween Trails in Suffolk 2017
Halloween trails are a perfect activity for children of all ages and a fantastic family day out; the fresh air, the stunning autumn colours and a puzzle or a quiz to complete, the kids will love to get involved and will keep them fully entertained.
If this is something you would like to try this year, these are our Suffolk favourites:
Follow Jimmy's Farm all year trail, or participate in this year’s Halloween pumpkin hunt. Pumpkins will be hidden all around the farm, find them and win a prize! Great fun for the whole Family. Step it up a notch, and join the Spooky Stroll organized in support of St Elizabeth Hospice on Oct 29th, at Chantry Park, although it is suitable for the whole family, please beware that there will be some spooky characters, so children should be accompanied by an adult! There will be a few surprises hidden in the park, UV drip pod, a UV gunge shooter, a UV bubble pod and a UV foam cannon and most importantly, don’t forget to dress up! There will be a prize for the scariest costume.
If you fancy a trip to the seafront, pick up a quiz sheet (£1.50) at Landguard Fort from Oct 21-29 and have fun following its Spooky Trail or try Landguard Spooky Day 2017 held at Felixstowe museum Oct 28 from 12:00 - 16:00. Expect trails around the museum, spooky puppets, Disco, treats and loads of surprises ! Do not miss it! This event is suitable for children from 2-12 years old,
Fancy an adventure in the woods at night? Haverhill Town Council is hosting an evening trail at East Town Park, and we all know that there is nothing children love more than the thrill of being out and about in the dark! This event runs from Oct 27 from 19:00 - 20:30, and it's FREE. Please make sure, warm clothes and suitable shoes are worn, and of course, do not forget your torch! Nowton Park has also organized a self guided Halloween trail, Oct 21 - 29 from 9:00 -17:00, pick up a quiz sheet for £1.00 from the cafe, this event is promoted by SEBC Rangers and booking is not required.
Brandon Park is hosting their “Pumpkin Fest” for a third consecutive year, and it promises to be spooktacular fun! Oct 25, from 11:00 to 15:00. There will be pumpkin carving, Spooky-Haunted-Graveyard-Halloween-Theatre (provided by Shoestring Theatre), and a spooky trail to follow. Pumpkin Fest is FREE with Pumpkin Carving at just £2.00. There will be prizes for the best dressed carver and best carved pumpkin so start practicing!
And if you have a“Horrible Stories” fan at home, why not join “The Horrible History For Families” walk organized by the Ipswich Tourist Information Centre this Oct 31st at 6pm This event is suitable for 8-12 year olds and costs £4.00. Remember to book in advance!
