Storytelling for Kids This Autumn

If you are looking for things to do with the kids, can we suggest taking them to a storytelling session at one of your local theatres. Kids just love it!, and you will too, as you watch your kids getting immersed in the storyline of some of the most popular children’s books.

Professional storytellers, add to the magic of the experience, by acting out the characters as they read along, encouraging audience participation and getting the kids involved with the action. Is all great fun, and it's FREE!

The New Wolsey Theatre (Ipswich) run Storyteller sessions on selected Saturdays.

Storymaker- Little Story aimed at 3-4 year old and Story Maker- Big story aimed at 5-6 years old.

Sessions last around 30m,  and families of the latter can relax downstairs in the coffee shop whilst the kids meet the storymaker upstairs!  Storytelling at the New Wolsey Theatre starts at the end of the summer holidays and it is so popular, that it is advisable to book in advance.  You can book tickets on their website , please note, that only kids need tickets.

The Quay Theatre  (Sudbury) also run storyteller sessions aimed to 0-4 years old once a month on the first floor of the building. On selected Mondays, for around an hour kids can enjoy a session with a theatrically experienced storyteller. This is also a FREE event and no booking is required!

Remember to check our calendar of events if you are looking for places to take the children and fun local events!
