  • Think Hedgehog! Put on a woolly hat and turn out to do your bit for nature on your doorstep!
  • Activity Saturday at the People’s Community Garden, Maidenhall Allotments, Halifax Road, Ipswich IP2 8RE
  • Saturday 26 November 12.30 to 3pm

Winter is closing in and hedgehogs and other animals will be getting ready for winter hibernation.

Come along to the People’s Community Garden to make homes for hedgehogs, insects and other animals to keep them warm and safe in the cold weather.

Explore the garden and follow our nature trails.

There will be activities for all ages, with Ipswich Wildlife Group leading construction activities.

The free day is part of our Nature on Your Doorstep project, funded by the People’s Postcode Lottery.

Families are encouraged to bring a packed lunch and make a day of it! Dress up warm in clothes suitable for outdoor activities, with sturdy boots/ wellies, and bring a bottle of water/ squash.

Or just come and look around and enjoy the garden and find out more about our work and opportunities to volunteer with us.

We will go ahead whatever the weather! Don’t forget a woolly hat if cold!
